This infographic is from a study conducted by ATTOM Data Solutions. They found that the above days were statistically the most successful. From my own experience, I have found that when selling your home the most important things are to price it right and get it in the best possible condition to show. But timing is important. For several reasons, I have found that the latter part of the week is the best to list a home in the MLS, with showings beginning on Saturday. This gives the house a few days to get on potential buyers “radar.” As many buyers are at work during the week, they often are not paying attention to the market at the beginning of the week, and are unable to view homes until the weekend.
However, many sellers are not able to place their home on the market in one of the five days shown above. And this is a good thing, because the market would be inundated! Don’t worry, houses sell 365 days a year (well, almost).
